Amazing hackathon project
Marmot is a protocol for efficient end-to-end encrypted group messaging over nostr relays, built for humans and agents. Think Signal, but unstoppable and doesn‘t need your phone number to work. Your challenge, if you choose to accept it, is to build something wildly creative and devilishly practical that helps user’s protect that privacy.
White Noise t-shirts for the whole winning team.

A home miner is a heater that earns bitcoin. This prize goes to the best project built on MDK, the open-source Mining Development Kit, that makes mining useful at home: it heats what needs heating, reacts to what’s happening in the house, and runs without supervision.
You can build an MDK app, a Worker for a device MDK doesn’t support yet, or both. Some ideas, not a checklist:
No hardware needed: you can build against MDK’s mock environment. Docs: https://docs.mdk.tether.io · Code: https://github.com/tetherto/mdk
You‘ll win a real Bitair, in person at btc++ Seoul.
A mining site is one of the most flexible large loads on the grid: it can shed power within seconds and bring it back on demand. This prize goes to the best project built on MDK that turns that flexibility, and the data behind it, into value for operators, energy producers or the grid.
You can build an MDK app, a new Worker, or both. Workers can wrap APIs too, such as a power-price feed or a grid signal. Some ideas, not a checklist:
