bitcoin++ Antarctica — Cold Storage Edition Organizer: btcplusplus LLC. Contact: [email protected]. Your passage The expedition runs January 24–February 5, 2028. Fares are per person in USD. Your group selects cabin types and the number of berths; specific cabin numbers and deck locations are not guaranteed. We will try to match M, F or co-ed roommate preferences in shared twin cabins. Triple and quad cabins default to co-ed. Payment options Choose full payment at signup or equal installments across signup and the remaining scheduled dates: January 1, April 1, July 1 and October 1, 2027. Dates on or before the signup date (America/Chicago) are omitted. Any rounding difference is included in the final payment. Your payment schedule is fixed when you book. If no scheduled dates remain, payment in full is required. The non-refundable portion remains 20% of the passage fare even if the signup payment is larger. Full payment in bitcoin receives a 5% passage discount. Payment is available in bitcoin or by card via Stripe. Installments use the standard fare. Merchandise is separate, paid upfront, and collected onboard. Operator deposit and payment deadline The operator requires a 20% deposit per traveler as they book and describes that deposit as non-refundable. The operator requires final payment 70 days before departure: November 15, 2027, assuming the January 24 departure date. Our installment plan finishes earlier, on October 1, 2027. Our guest cancellation policy appears below. Cabin availability and confirmation Our cabin allocation is currently held on a right-of-first-refusal basis. If another passenger requests a held cabin, the operator can require us to confirm it with a deposit or release it within 24–48 hours. This is an operator hold, not a confirmed passenger booking. Contact [email protected] for assistance with booking confirmation or availability. Insurance you must arrange Travel insurance is required and is not included in your fare. It must cover medical treatment, accidents, evacuation and repatriation in Antarctica. The operator currently requires at least EUR/USD 100,000 per person for medical evacuation and repatriation. Ask your insurer to confirm coverage for this destination and your planned activities. Cancellation and interruption cover are strongly recommended; they are separate from the mandatory medical and evacuation cover. We will confirm proof-of-insurance requirements before travel. Operator insurance requirements ↗ Published voyage inclusions The operator lists accommodation, onboard meals and snacks, coffee and tea, guided Zodiac outings, lectures, loan boots and snowshoes, embarkation-day luggage transfer, a scheduled disembarkation airport transfer, service taxes and port charges. Offered Basecamp activities are included without an activity surcharge. Final inclusions will be checked against our group confirmation. Costs to plan for separately Flights, pre- and post-cruise stays, meals ashore, passports and visas, government arrival/departure taxes, insurance, gratuities and personal purchases are excluded. The cruise does not supply parkas. The bitcoin++ parka is a separate organizer arrangement; contact us about inclusion and delivery. Cruise port charges do not settle the tax treatment of our own booking. Activities and itinerary changes Landings, wildlife sightings and individual activities are not guaranteed. Weather, ice, permits and environmental restrictions can change the route and program. The expedition leader decides the final plan. Activities depend on safe conditions, capacity, appropriate equipment and participant suitability. Follow the crew’s safety and environmental instructions. Activity registration and equipment requirements will be confirmed in your departure information. Traveler information and documents Each traveler must provide accurate personal information, complete required operator forms and carry the necessary passport, visas and other travel documents. Tell the operator about health or mobility needs relevant to safe participation through its designated process. Oceanwide requires a Personal Information Form (PIF), including personal, passport, emergency-contact and medical information. Its published guidance says to return the PIF within one month of booking. Boot sizing and activity forms are included where applicable. Insurance policy details are also requested after booking. We will provide the operator’s current form or personal completion link and confirm any departure-specific instructions or additional medical clearance requirements. A group purchaser’s booking acceptance does not replace each traveler’s required forms. Guest payment, cancellation and substitutions Final guest payment is due by the end of October 1, 2027, in America/Chicago time. Refund eligibility ends at the start of that date. Cancellation requests received before 12:00 a.m. on October 1, 2027, in America/Chicago time are eligible for a refund of passage payments received, less the initial 20% deposit, which is non-refundable. No refund is available for guest cancellations received at or after that cutoff. Send cancellation requests to [email protected]. Passenger substitutions are not permitted. Bitcoin refund valuation Bitcoin payments are valued in USD at their value on the day each payment was received. Refund entitlement is calculated from those recorded USD amounts, less the non-refundable deposit. A refund paid in Bitcoin is converted from the refundable USD amount at the exchange rate when the refund is sent; the number of satoshis returned may differ from the number originally paid. Our expedition supplier We are booking directly with Oceanwide Expeditions. Our written group agreement and the applicable Oceanwide requirements form the supplier basis for these booking terms. Adventure Life is an itinerary reference only; its booking contract and forms do not apply to our direct booking. Your booking with bitcoin++ is subject to the guest booking terms accepted at checkout. Missed installments and abandonment Installments are due by the end of their stated date in Texas time (America/Chicago). We send reminders 14 days before, 4 days before, on the due date, and every other day overdue through day 28. If an installment remains unpaid for 30 days after its deadline, the reservation is marked abandoned, its berths released, and all payments already made forfeited. We notify the purchaser and our expedition team when forfeiture is completed. Abandonment for non-payment is distinct from a guest-requested cancellation. An unpaid checkout hold simply expires; it is not a confirmed booking and does not trigger forfeiture. Payment processing or reconciliation issues require review before abandonment. Your accepted booking terms are retained with your purchase. Operator references and questions Source review: October 23, 2026. departure-specific voyage information and operator terms. Privacy policy

This Privacy Policy describes what information bitcoin++ (btcplusplus LLC) collects, how we use it, and the (very short) list of situations in which we share it with anyone outside the organization. 1. What we collect Ticket purchasers: name, email address, payment metadata (handled by Stripe or our Lightning / on-chain payment processor — we never see your raw card or wallet details), the ticket tier you bought, and the amount paid. Speaker applicants: the information you submit on the talk-application form — name, email, talk title, abstract, prior speaking experience, optional social handles, photo, dietary preferences, dinner RSVP, hometown / travel-from city. Volunteer applicants: name, email, availability, work preferences, optional emergency contact for on-site coverage. Newsletter subscribers: email address and which event you subscribed from. No tracking pixels. Website analytics: standard server logs (IP address, user agent, page path, timestamp). No third-party analytics scripts; no fingerprinting; no ad network embeds. 2. How we use it We use the information you give us to run the event: issue tickets, send calendar invites, confirm logistics, coordinate speaker travel, and follow up after the conference. Newsletter subscribers receive event announcements until they unsubscribe. 3. What we share — and what we don't We do not sell, rent, or otherwise distribute attendee email addresses. Sponsors and partners do not receive the general attendee email list. Except for the specific hackathon-project disclosures below, sponsor messages are mediated through bitcoin++ without disclosing attendee addresses. Submitting a hackathon project permits us to share each team member's verified email with that event's Headline and Hackathon sponsors. We disclose this in the submission review so project owners can make every teammate aware before submitting. Participants may separately allow contact from other event sponsors or sponsors whose prizes their project enters; those additional choices apply only to that hackathon and can be changed later. Judges and organizers may also use contact details when necessary to administer submissions and prizes. We also share information with the third-party service providers we depend on to run the site: Stripe — fiat payment processing. Stripe receives the payment fields it needs to charge your card and issue receipts. OpenNode — Lightning / on-chain bitcoin payment processing. Postgres — backing database for our ticketing, application, and operations data. DigitalOcean Spaces — file storage (ticket PDFs, speaker photos, event imagery). Our mail relay — outbound transactional + newsletter emails. We may also disclose information if compelled by law (a valid subpoena or court order), but we'll push back on anything we think exceeds the law's scope. 4. Recordings and public materials Talks are typically recorded and published publicly on our YouTube channel and similar platforms. Speakers can opt out at application time. Speaker names, talk titles, abstracts, photos, and affiliations are listed on the event website once a talk is confirmed. 5. Cookies and session state We use a single session cookie to remember whether you're signed in to the speaker / volunteer dashboard. Session cookies are HTTP-only, same-site, and expire when the session does. We do not set tracking or advertising cookies. 6. Data retention We retain ticketing data for as long as needed for tax, accounting, and refund-dispute purposes (typically 7 years per US business norms). Applicant data (talks, volunteer apps) is retained indefinitely so we can recognize repeat applicants and pre-fill future application forms — you can request deletion at any time via the contact below. 7. Your rights You can request a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate fields, or ask us to delete your records (subject to the retention obligations above) by emailing [email protected]. We'll respond within 30 days. 8. Changes We may update this policy at any time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Material changes (e.g. new categories of data, new sharing relationships) will be announced via the newsletter and on the homepage. 9. Contact Privacy questions, deletion requests, and general feedback: [email protected]. See also our Terms of Service. Expedition bookings For the Antarctica expedition, we also process billing addresses, berth and roommate preferences, installment schedules, booking status, accepted terms and payment/refund records. We use this information to manage your trip, payments and service communications. Necessary traveler details are shared with Oceanwide Expeditions to arrange passage. Complete sensitive medical information through the operator’s designated forms; do not send it through the checkout. Booking and payment emails are service communications, not a newsletter subscription. Payment processors and tax services receive the information needed to process payments and calculate taxes. Contact [email protected] for expedition privacy requests.
