An AI relay already hides you from the AI companies. Your payment gives you away.
We run a relay with 310 users and ~12 billion tokens a month. Until now, every user paid with Alipay or WeChat Pay, so every AI request was tied to a real-name ID. sats4tokens cuts that link.
How it works
- Pick an amount: \(1 to \)10.
- Pay with bitcoin: ⚡ Lightning or 🥜 Cashu ecash. Paste a token or scan a QR.
- Start building: your key comes loaded with exactly what you paid. One key for every model, in any OpenAI-compatible app or Claude Code. Your receipt page shows every call.
Real money, real calls
Already live on Bitcoin mainnet. On 2026-10-02 we made four real payments over Lightning and Cashu. A $1 key made real Claude and DeepSeek calls. A top-up credited an existing relay account. The operator withdrew the balance as a single Cashu token.
Every sat counts exactly once
The worst moment for any checkout: the payment goes through, then the server crashes before saving it. A naive system loses the payment or credits it twice.
sats4tokens saves first and asks the mint second, so after a crash it always knows what was paid and recovers safely.
We proved it with kill -9 at every crash point, on both Lightning and Cashu: credited once, every time.
Replayed tokens are rejected.
Built at the hackathon
The relay already existed. The bitcoin checkout, gateway and key shop were built during the hackathon. No Lightning node to run: the Cashu mint handles Lightning for us. TypeScript, just two dependencies, 18 unit tests and 15 end-to-end checks.
